STart CAMP — offers three projects each week and is designed to engage CAMPers entering grades K-5. In this program, CAMPers rotate in small groups to each of the three multi-medium art projects every day and Body Movement & Games, all four days of the CAMP week. This is a structured environment that offers developmentally appropriate challenges and levels of materials usage for young makers and artists, and is well-suited to the creative needs of these ages. With a 1:5 staff to CAMPer ratio, your child will have plenty of support to complete projects.
We also offer AM (8am - 9am) and PM (3pm - 6pm) Extended Care for an additional fee.

Thingamajigs Performance Group do genii memoriam at ATA. All saints proceed on la Día de los Muertos, a subtle material and various signatures to the air: environmental, musical, electronic and vocal, shifting states, drawing and altering perceptions of the performers and places. Bodies, gestures, field notes, screens, walls, and the aggregate thingamajigs are elements in a schematic and an ephemeral architecture that is evocative of transformational forces emanating from memory, an awareness of time.

In launch of Rosten Woo’s Mutual Air Project, Thingamajigs’ director, Edward Schocker, will give a demonstration about air, breath and sound. Part talk and part performance, Edward will be accompanied by a 275 year old Japanese musical instrument call Sho. Thingamajigs partners with The Exploratorium and Oakland Museum of California on this informative event about art and climate change.
A two-part evening of visual and sonic experiments and environments, featuring Thingamajigs Performance Group, and viDEO sAVant (Charles Woodman + duo B.). Found objects, innovative instruments, new music and a gathering of unusual performers - Thingamajigs gears up for its biggest annual celebration in October 2016. It all begins in a military bunker, gets to bay area streets and concludes with a tribute to Lou Harrison.
Thingamajigs presents another year of exciting new musical works for homemade instruments, found objects, DIY inventions, and alternate tunings by some of the Bay Area’s most innovative artists. Instrument inventors are a rare breed; but at this year’s 18th annual Music for People and Thingamajigs Festival, a dozen of the finest experimental instrument builders will be entertaining all ages crowds at the Center for New Music.
Celebrating its 17th year in 2014, MFP&T is a celebration of new and unusual explorations in music and performance, featuring evening concerts, daytime family events and hands-on discovery.
Now in its 16th year, Thingamajigs’ genre-crossing MFP&T Festival is the only annual event completely dedicated to music created with made/found materials and alternate tuning systems. Past participants include Carla Kihlstedt, Walter Kitundu, Pauline Oliveros, Brenda Hutchinson, Electric Junkyard Gamelan, and Laetitia Sonami.
